– DACHBOX
(…) Due to the low ceiling height, the previous attic floor could not be used and could only be effortfully climbed over the loggia. In its place was set up a self-sufficient roof box.
The fact that the steel object could easily be dismantled at any time is illustrated by a deliberately set gap which interacts with the location independence of the object. The fine gap is a metaphor: with a forklift, the roof box could be removed at any time. (…)
The steel construction is minimized to its limits. A few cross-beams and two outcrossings with drawbars make up all the visible static. (…) The enclosure walls lead the loads directly into the foundations. The whole project is based on exactly prefabrication (…)
