– CAMPUS 2071
On the premises of an international logistics company, GERNER GERNER PLUS. develops an overall architectural concept: Campus 2071. The entire area covers an area of approx. 30,000 m2. The first step in upgrading the company premises is the architectural restructuring, which is future-oriented in designing an area, envisaging a spatial bringing together and connection of the different company groups in the form of the campus and planning with foresight in a modular manner. Geographically, we are in the middle of the industrial area with a direct location and connection to the A2. The campus and the new headquarters of Containex respond to this special situation and create a green island that generates a new connecting atmosphere and creates a valuable communication and motivation-promoting work environment for the employees.
DEVELOPMENT AND POTENTIAL
The starting point in the west is the existing building of the parent company with adjacent grove and park, which is directly connected to the new Containex headquarters by the generous plating. The new Containex company headquarters shows the potential of this vision: an area with development capacities for the next 50 years! The green band is therefore the logical further development for an enormous upgrading of the campus area.
HEADQUARTERS
The new headquarters can be reached from the “Welcome & Info Point” via a spacious, partly green covering. The plating also serves as an attractive and inviting exhibition space for the containers of the model park, which not only presents the company’s product range, but also makes it possible to experience its dimensions. In response to the surroundings, a floating garden is created as an island of relaxation and forms the first piece of the jigsaw puzzle of the newly created company campus. The focus of the architecture of the headquarters is on optimal workplaces with regard to emissions (e.g. noise and dust from the adjacent motorway), the best possible lighting and an attractive working environment. Another main focus of the design is on green meeting points as well as possible interaction and communication points in a natural and light-flooded environment.
WORLD OF WORK AND EXPANSION
Workplaces for 500 employees are currently spread over three levels, each with a kitchenette, green meeting boxes and sanitary facilities. The future-oriented architectural concept can be modularly expanded by a further two floors if required. This means that jobs can still be created for a further 300 employees.
