The specific shape of the building provides identity: The classic family house in the countryside with a gable roof and shutters is quoted and interpreted in a contemporary large scale.
The building provides space for 42 apartments with diverse and partially flexible floor plans. Each apartment has its own outdoor space. The clever use of the building regulations results in the differentiated overall shape. The jagged, stepped roof edge and partially recessed and by a material change emphasized base level gives the compact volume astonishing ease and allows it to interlock with the environment. The irregularly arranged, but fixed façade elements reminiscent of shutters, give additional structure to the front side. Despite it‘s large size, the human dimension remains always the reference point.
Embedded in the green space and located on a traffic-free road game, the building offers tranquility and a panoramic view of the countryside.
