The Campus is a landscape for working and learning, a place to hang out and meet. An open and inviting atmosphere fosters the holistic development of the children, their activities, creativity, and social competences.
The concept envisages a two-story, low-set building volume pervaded and defined by upward openings, giving rise to variable learning zones, cluster areas, and fusions of several school classes or kindergarten groups. Within the clusters, playing or learning zones can be sectioned off or concentrated creating spatial continuums, such as island- or street-like areas for learning. Despite the high flexibility, a center internal to the cluster remains, which functions as meeting area or “market place.”
Two large courtyards and a zone for sports and movement, classified as part of the park, dominate the open areas, which are supplemented by an extensive, roofed, open-air space.
The strong relationship to the natural surroundings and the good natural lighting of all spaces steadily give rise to new spatial moods. In the summer, shade is offered by the numerous trees.
